What are they & how are they applied?
Lash extensions are synthetic silk fibers attached individually to natural eyelashes using a semi-permanent glue.
Do they damage my natural lashes?
When done properly there is no damage to your natural lashes.
How long do they last?
Refills are recommended every 2-4 weeks to upkeep a full appearance, They shed with the natural lashes and will all be completelyshed in 6-8 weeks.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Come makeup free in comfy clothing. Shower before as you should avoid water & steam for the rest of the day.
How long does it take?
A full set will take 1.5 hours and refills take 1 hour.
Can I get them wet?
You must avoid water, steam, sweat, tears etc for 24 hours. After that time you are free to get them wet!
Do they hurt?
No! Lash extensions should NOT hurt ever! There should be zero contact with the skin and zero irritation.
How do I clean my face and lashes?
You must avoid oil based products. You will be given full cleaning instructions at your appointment.
Can I still wear eye makeup?
YES: Powders, eyeshadows, liquid/pen eyeliner
NO: Mascara, oil based products, gel eyeliner
Can I still wear contact lenses?
Yes, Lash extensions do not affect contact lenses however you must remove them during your appointment.
Can I rub my eyes?
Unfortunately you must avoid touching your lash extensions as much as possible or they will fall out prematurely.
Do you fill other peoples work?
This depends on the quality of the work. Sometimes yes (there will be an extra charge), and sometimes no - you will need a removal and full set.
Can I get a spray tan?
Yes but it's best to do it after your appointment, not before
Do I have to pay a deposit?
For your first full set with me - yes a deposit and online booking is required. For fills and future appointments you will be given my number to organise via text
How long have you done eyelashes for?
I have been doing lash extensions for 6 years! I completed my qualification in 2016.
How does a removal work?
A removal is a simple and painless 15 - 30 minute appointment where we apply a gel remover and gently glide off the lashes. There is a $30 fee.
Can I bring my child to my appointment?
I would advise against bringing young children/babies with you as you must have your eyes closed the whole time.
Can I get a patch test?
Of course! I am happy to do a patch test for free. It will take no more than 15 minutes. Please email me to organise this.
